Keep the Faith!
We hope these resources are helpful. Whatever you do, don’t get discouraged. Google reported that internet searches related to “prayer” skyrocketed this year during the worst weeks of the pandemic. Times of crisis tend to really humble us. They remind us of our mortality and transience. As C.S. Lewis once put it, times of suffering can serve as “God’s megaphone to a deaf world.” The current situation may actually be one of the best opportunities we’ve had in a long time to evangelize and catechize the people around us. During times of instability, the 2000 year permanence of our Church becomes more appealing. During times of fear and despair, the hope that can only be found in Jesus becomes irresistible. Let’s do everything we can to reach out to our people in these difficult times. Let’s rise to challenge, trusting in God and never forgetting, “that all things work together for good for those who love God” (Rm 8:28). If there is anything the Office of Catechesis and Evangelization can do to assist you in these difficult times, do not hesitate to contact us by e-mailing [email protected] or calling (859) 392-1500.
