Principal – Cardinal Mooney High School, Youngstown, OH

The Diocese of Youngstown is seeking an experienced and dynamic leader for the full-time position of
Principal of Cardinal Mooney High School beginning in July of 2022. Since 1956, Cardinal Mooney has
operated as a co-educational 9-12 high school that is chartered by the Ohio Department of Education and
accredited by the Ohio Catholic Schools Accrediting Association.

Reports to: Superintendent of Schools, President of Cardinal Mooney

Qualifications:
• Practicing Roman Catholic
• Proven change leader, capable of helping the school through targeted growth in its mission of Sanctity,
Scholarship, and Discipline
• Possess a master’s degree and valid State of Ohio administrator’s license or be eligible to obtain one
• High school administrative experience is desired, with Catholic high school experience preferred
• Must be willing to be present and engaged with the school, students, and community

• Skilled at driving change strategies including evaluation of faculty and programming
• Clear vision, educational philosophy, and school spiritual mission
• Passionate about leading a Catholic school and particularly the Cardinal Mooney community
• Results oriented

• Experience at mentoring
• Effective at delegation

Salary is commensurate with the candidate’s education and experience.
