History

The seminarians in the Diocese of Covington have freely answered God’s call to the priesthood. Their response as they undertake this conversion is an act of God through discernment. A good foundation is essential for these young men. We must invest in our future priests as they embrace this new calling. The 2020 Seminarian Education Fund Collection will help supply the resources our seminarians need on their journey toward their priestly vocation.

Estimated Diocesan cost for providing our seminarians with tuition, books, room and board, health insurance, living allowances and retreats for the coming year will amount to more than $56,000 per seminarian. You can help by supporting the Seminary Ball. Please also pray daily for our seminarians and for an increase in vocations to the priesthood.

In previous years, the week prior to the Collection, the Seminarians would speak at various parishes throughout the Diocese. Unfortunately this year, the seminarians will not be available to speak at the parishes to inform or thank the donors for their generosity in the past due to COVID-19.

Visit here on December 6 for the Seminary Ball presentation!
