The Diocesan Office of Worship has as its function…

– the promotion of authentic liturgical formation and practices among the people of God

– through appropriate study and pastoral implementation of all forms of corporate worship,

– with the hope that public worship throughout the diocese can become an integrating and motivating factor in the ongoing renewal of the life of each worshiping community.

In addition, this office, promotes programs for the Rite of Christian Initiation.

Registration for the Diocesan Education Session

Thank you for your patience – we had been experiencing some technical difficulty.

New Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) will be appointed by Bishop Foys for ministry effective February 1, 2020.

According to the Norms for the Diocese of Covington:

  • Training to be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion is open to registered parishioners who are 16 years of age and older.
  • Each person – EMHC and Lectors –  must attend a diocesan education session, as well as a parish session.
  • Nominations for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must be made by the parish priest.
  • Nominations for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion must be made using the form mailed to the parish priest.
  • Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who need their certificate renewed DO NOT have to attend another training.

The next Diocesan training for EMHC and Lectors is

Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at St. Thomas Parish in Ft. Thomas from 7-9 pm.
