Members of the Diocese of Covington are invited to a Service Day with the Sisters on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 9:00am. We will be meeting at Mother of God Church, Covington for prayer at 9:00am before going out to serve. We will return to Mother of God Church for lunch. Registration is required. 2026 World Day of Prayer for Vocations
This year’s World Day of Prayer for Vocations will be observed on Sunday, April 26, 2026. On this 63rd anniversary of the World Day of Prayer for Vocations, also liturgically known as Good Shepherd Sunday, we are invited to pray for and promote all vocations. 2026 Religious Brothers Day
This year’s Religious Brothers Day will be observed on Friday, May 1, 2026. Religious Brothers Day recognizes the life and vocation of Religious Brothers throughout the world. It was first celebrated on May 1, 2017, the feast of St. Joseph the Worker. It was created by the U.S. Brothers Think Tank composed of the Conference of Major Superiors of Men, Religious Brothers Conference, Religious Formation Conference, National Religious Vocation Conference, and Brothers representing various religious institutes.
United In Prayer
The women religious vocation directors of our Diocese regularly sponsor prayers for peace called United in Prayer.
This time of prayer is a sign of hope and unity, and a moment of peace and encouragement for others and ourselves as a praying community. Whether you can be in person or online, please join in praying for peace.
The final United in Prayer for the 2025-2026 season will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, 6:00pm in Covington’s Main Strasse at the Bell Tower. All are welcome. The prayer is live streamed at https://www.facebook.com/CDPKentucky. These events are hosted by the Sisters of Divine Providence, Sisters of Notre Dame, and the Benedictine Sisters.
Picnic for Women Religious
Hosted by the Diocese of Covington and the Serra Club of Northern Kentucky, the next Picnic for Women Religious is scheduled for Friday, June 19, 2026, at the Summit Hills Country Club.
