World Cancer Screening Day at Latonia Library

February 4 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

World Cancer Day, observed annually on February 4, is a global initiative to raise awareness about cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment. It unites communities worldwide to take action against one of the leading causes of death.

Cancer impacts millions of people each year, yet many cases can be prevented or treated through timely screenings and healthy lifestyle choices. This day serves as a reminder to schedule regular checkups, learn the warning signs, and support those affected by the disease.

As part of our mission to lead the communities we serve to become among the healthiest in the nation, St. Elizabeth will cohost a World Cancer Day Screening event with the Kentucky Cancer Program, Kenton County Public Library, Cancer Support Community and the Northern Kentucky Health Department on Wednesday, February 4, from 1–3 p.m. at the Latonia Branch of the Kenton County Public Library.

Those who come to World Cancer Day can:

Learn about cancer prevention, detection and treatment
Get screening questions answered
Schedule appointments or register as new patients
Explore community resources and support services
Address care gaps
Talk with our financial counselors
Learn about health insurance, Medicaid or Medicare
Discover how genetic testing can help families understand cancer risks
Participate and contribute to projects supporting cancer patients and survivors

Those interested in mammography appointments should schedule with the St. Elizabeth Mobile Mammography van which will be at the event. Pre-schedule a Mammography appointment on your MyChart or by calling (859) 655-7400.
