The Official Catholic Directory (Kenedy Directory) is the authoritative reference listing the personnel, institutions, and organizations of the Catholic Church in the United States.  Updating is done in the Fall of each year and all updating is done online via the OCD editing website.  Parishes/institutions should receive an email alerting them that the website is open and giving deadlines for completion.  If you have not received the email from OCD by the end of October, please contact the Chancery.

When completing the edits, please remember:

  1. Carefully review ALL information in EVERY section, updating as needed.
  2. In the parish statistical overview section, when it asks for sacramental, death, household, and Catholic population statistics, use the numbers your parish reported in the PRIOR YEAR Annual Statistical Report. For all other statistics, use current numbers.
  3. In the suborganizations section, make sure to review and update ALL information for each suborganization, e.g. parish school, outreach organization, etc.
  4. If your parish/organization is responsible for more than one entity, make sure to review each entity.
