Opening: Elementary Teacher (Grade 4/5 split)
Description: St. James School is seeking a full-time Elementary Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. St. James is a small, vibrant Catholic school community committed to forming students academically, spiritually, and socially. Our teachers work closely together to create classrooms where students are known, supported, and encouraged to grow in both learning and faith. The elementary teacher will be responsible for providing engaging instruction in core subject areas while fostering a positive classroom culture and supporting the mission of Catholic education.
Qualifications: The candidate should:
● Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education and the mission of St. James
● Create a nurturing classroom environment that supports the academic and social development of young learners
● Implement strong literacy and mathematics instruction aligned with best practices
● Use differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
● Establish clear classroom routines and effective behavior management practices
● Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student growth
● Maintain strong communication and organizational skills
Requirements:
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
● Valid Kentucky Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain one)
● Experience working with elementary students in a school setting
