Maintenance (Full-time) – St. Therese Parish

St. Therese Parish (Church and School) located in Southgate, Kentucky, is seeking a full-time Maintenance person. We are looking for a motivated self-starter who possesses practical maintenance and mechanical skills and abilities. Maintenance position reports directly to the pastor and/or principal. This position will be responsible for the cleaning, maintenance, and upkeep of both the interior and exterior of the school and the Church. Knowledge and/or experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical maintenance, painting, daily cleaning, and general safety procedures are essential elements of this position. The job will also be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the grounds surrounding the school and parish campus, including trash and debris removal, weed control, and sidewalk removal of snow and ice in winter as needed. The ideal person will also maintain clean restrooms in all parts of the buildings, clean floors in all hallways and classrooms, and trash cans inspected and emptied daily as needed. They will also be responsible for ordering janitorial supplies and paper products necessary for daily operations. They should also be available to assist in any inspections from outside agencies as needed. For bigger repairs, the maintenance person will collaborate with the pastor and/or principal in gathering bids from qualified companies for work to be done. They will work with the companies and manage needed repairs until they are completed. Must perform all other duties as needed. Compensation based on experience. Music Director (Part-time) – Holy Spirit Parish

Holy Spirit Catholic Parish, a parish in the Diocese of Covington of 520 families, is seeking qualified applicants for the part-time position of Music Director.

The position of Music Director at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish in Newport, Kentucky, is a part-time role within parish leadership. The Music Director is responsible for organizing, leading, and growing the Music Ministry at Holy Spirit. The Music Director works collaboratively with clergy and lay leadership to plan and provide liturgical music and worship direction at all parish liturgies. The position must be filled by an individual with strong faith, commitment to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, and a thorough understanding of liturgical music.

Parish Secretary and Assistant (15-30 hours/week)

Immediate opening for a part-time parish secretary and assistant to the pastor due to an illness of the current full-time parish secretary. They must be detail-oriented, good with computers, and have strong organizational skills. They will act both as parish secretary and assistant to the pastor, to manage the day-to-day activities of two parishes. Secretarial or office experience is a plus. This person must be enthusiastically Catholic, living in full communion with their Catholic Faith, and have a desire to promote the mission of the Church through parish ministry. Director of Maintenance – St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption Parish

St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica of the Assumption Parish invites qualified individuals to apply for the full-time position of Director of Maintenance. We require a motivated, personable self-starter who possesses practical maintenance and mechanical skills and abilities. Knowledge and/or experience with plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical maintenance, painting, and general safety procedures are essential elements of the job. This position will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the Cathedral Basilica and its grounds, the Cathedral Rectory, and the Cathedral Parish offices. The Director will lead and supervise other maintenance and custodial staff in scheduled and unscheduled activities related to the ongoing functioning and usage of the Cathedral properties. In addition, this individual will serve a very necessary role as an additional ambassador to the many visitors the Cathedral Basilica welcomes on a regular basis. The workweek will ordinarily be Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. However, the nature of the position may require the Director to occasionally work outside of that schedule in order to repair, or to arrange repair for, something that breaks or malfunctions and needs immediate attention. Young Adult/Youth Minister

Immediate opening for a full-time Young Adult (18-35) & Youth (14-17) Minister who would work with our mass servers (children and adults) and facilitate Bible Studies. Our current Young Adult ministry is well-established, but the Youth ministry still needs to be organized. Candidates must be outgoing, organized, and have strong people skills. They must be flexible and professional, have an aptitude for learning, and be familiar with technology. This is an exempt, salaried position that involves evenings and weekends. The Young Adult and Youth Minister must be enthusiastically Catholic, living in full communion with the Catholic Faith, and desiring to promote the Church’s mission.
