Middle School Writing Teacher (Grades 6–8) – Saint Timothy Catholic School
Saint Timothy Catholic School is seeking a Middle School Writing Teacher for the upcoming school year.
The ideal candidate will inspire students to become confident, effective writers while helping them develop strong communication and critical thinking skills. This position includes teaching six writing classes each day:
- Two 6th Grade Writing classes
- Two 7th Grade Writing classes
- Two 8th Grade Writing classes
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based writing instruction.
- Develop lesson plans that align with state and diocesan curriculum standards.
- Teach the writing process through narrative, informative, argumentative, and research writing.
- Help students effectively incorporate text evidence into their writing.
- Teach and reinforce MLA formatting, citation, and research skills.
