Director of Advancement – Notre Dame Academy
The Director of Advancement is a full-time leadership position responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive development and fundraising strategy that supports the mission, vision and long-term sustainability of Notre Dame Academy. As a member of NDA’s Leadership Team, the Director leads the Advancement Department, fosters a culture of philanthropy and builds meaningful relationships with donors, alumnae, families and community partners.
Areas of responsibility include:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Advancement Plan aligned with NDA’s mission, Strategic Plan and long-term goals.
- Personally manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, actively cultivating, soliciting and stewarding relationships.
- Provide strategic leadership for the Annual Fund, major and planned giving, endowments, corporate and foundation relations and donor stewardship.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with donors, alumnae, parents, grandparents, foundations, corporate partners and friends of NDA.
- Lead long-range fundraising planning for future capital campaigns and institutional priorities.
- Provide leadership and direction for the Advancement Department, including Annual Giving & Events and Alumnae Relations.
- Collaborate with Enrollment, Communications, school leadership and the Board of Directors to advance institutional priorities and strengthen constituent engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in advancement, development, fundraising, nonprofit leadership or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in major gifts, donor cultivation, solicitation and fundraising strategy.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
- Genuine passion for Catholic education and the mission of Notre Dame Academy.
- Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate goals into effective fundraising strategies and results.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively across departments and with school leadership and volunteers.
- Experience with fundraising databases and CRM systems.
- Strong commitment to ethical fundraising practices and donor confidentiality.
