Part-Time Science Teacher (Physics & Honors Physics) – Notre Dame Academy

Notre Dame Academy, an all-girls Catholic high school committed to educating young women to make a difference in the world, seeks a dynamic and dedicated part-time Science Teacher to teach Physics and Honors Physics. As Notre Dame Academy continues to expand its STEM programming, including the potential growth of pathways supported by Project Lead The Way (PLTW), this position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative, forward-thinking curriculum development that prepares students for future study and careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Position Overview

The part-time Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, rigorous instruction in Physics and Honors Physics while fostering a supportive and collaborative classroom environment. This educator will inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and confidence in young women pursuing studies in the sciences and will contribute to the continued development of NDA’s STEM initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality instruction aligned with curriculum standards for Physics and Honors Physics
  • Design engaging lessons that promote inquiry, problem-solving, and real-world application of scientific concepts
  • Support and contribute to the growth of STEM programming, including collaboration on initiatives connected to PLTW or similar framework
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback
  • Maintain an organized, safe, and effective laboratory and classroom environment
  • Utilize technology to enhance instruction and student engagement
  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Collaborate with members of the Science Department and broader faculty
  • Support the mission and values of Notre Dame Academy in all aspects of school life

Qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Science, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred)
  • Prior teaching experience in physics or related sciences preferred
  • Strong content knowledge and the ability to teach both college-preparatory and honors-level courses
  • Interest in or experience with STEM program development, engineering concepts, or PLTW coursework is preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and professional growth
  • Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills
  • A strong work ethic and a student-centered approach to teaching
  • Willingness to support the Catholic mission of the school

Executive Director of Institutional Advancement – Notre Dame Academy

The Executive Director of Institutional Advancement is a full-time position responsible for developing a culture of philanthropy among the Notre Dame Academy community and providing strategic oversight to the Development, Alumnae, and Enrollment Departments. The position ensures alignment across all external relations to promote Notre Dame Academy’s mission, grow philanthropic support, and strengthen enrollment.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Serve as a mission-driven ambassador, representing and communicating the values, vision, and programs of Notre Dame Academy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a data-informed plan to build relationships with families and engage them in NDA’s mission from the first point of contact through the donor life cycle.
  • Proactively identify and cultivate key individual stakeholders to advance the mission of NDA.
  • Serve as the chief development officer for NDA by maintaining an active portfolio of constituents
  • Lead comprehensive development strategy, including the Annual Fund, Planned Giving, Corporate Sponsorships, Endowments, and Scholarships.
  • Collaborate with the President and Chief Communications Officer to align Advancement, Enrollment, and Marketing goals with the broader mission of the school.
  • Oversee and direct the ongoing identification, screening, evaluation, and solicitation of prospective donors.
  • Provide oversight for key development events, working with the Advancement Services Manager to plan and execute key events such as Light the Night, Scholarship Breakfast, and donor recognition events.
  • Provide strategic direction to development, alumnae, and enrollment departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher – professional certifications in fundraising or development a plus
  • Minimum of five years of experience in advancement and fundraising. Education experience preferred.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and budgets.
  • Availability to travel and participate in evening/weekend events.
  • A genuine passion for the school’s mission and a strong belief in the value of education.

Director of Enrollment – Notre Dame Academy

The Director of Enrollment is a full-time position within the Institutional Advancement Department responsible for managing all aspects of NDA’s recruitment and enrollment process.  The Director of Enrollment works with others at NDA to promote the mission and vision of Notre Dame Academy to prospective families and the broader community ensuring the school’s growth and stability.

The Director of Enrollment areas of responsibility include:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive, data-informed, strategic Enrollment Management Plan to engage resources that supports and furthers the mission of NDA.
    • Build strong relationships and maintain communication with in-district and out-of-district elementary schools as well as the community
    • Create and maintain a recruitment database from first point of inquiry through enrollment
    • Meet with families to provide information and school tours
    • Strive to cultivate a diverse student population
    • Provide information to prospective families through direct contact, email, and/or direct mail
    • Manage Shadow Day Experiences
    • Organize and participate in all current and future admissions events.
    • Organize and supervise Placement Testing for eighth grade candidates.
    • Work with the President, Principal, CFO and the Advancement Department in determining scholarship winners.
    • Supervise application and registration processes.
    • Organize & Supervise Incoming freshman and Future Panda events
    • Work with application and registration of transfer students.
    • Consult with the President, Principal and Academic Counselors in the final admissions decision.
    • Continually evaluate and redesign, when appropriate, all aspects of the admissions plan with the goal of maintaining of viable and qualified students.
    • Coordinate scholarship and grant applications for rising sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Assume responsibility for this section of the website.
    • Collaborate with Chief Communications Officer on the development of promotional and printed materials, the admissions section of the website, and application forms.
    • Maintaining and updating the Admissions Department section of website.
    • Maintaining and updating online application form.
  • Collaborate with Finance Department on the fair and equitable distribution of scholarships and financial aid.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Institutional Advancement Associate – Notre Dame Academy

Notre Dame Academy (Park Hills, KY) is seeking a full-time Institutional Advancement Associate to continue the important work of supporting our Alumnae, Development, and Enrollment efforts.

This integral role helps advance NDA’s mission through accurate database management (Raiser’s Edge), organized office operations, and meaningful coordination of alumnae and donor events. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate about Catholic education and empowering young women.

A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is required; Raiser’s Edge experience is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with a commitment to NDA’s values of faith, excellence, and community.
