Paraprofessional – Classroom Aide and Medical Support St. Joseph School, Crescent Springs

Position Overview:
St. Joseph School is seeking a paraprofessional to support instruction, student behavior, and medical needs under teacher/administrator direction, combining classroom assistance with healthcare support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with instruction, lesson prep, and classroom organization
• Provide one-on-one/small-group academic support, including for students with special needs
• Monitor and document student progress and behavior
• Supervise students (transitions, lunch, recess, field trips) and support behavior management
• Provide basic medical care, administer medications/procedures per training and policy
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records; communicate updates to staff/parents

Qualifications & Skills:

• Nursing/healthcare background required (e.g., LPN, CNA, Medical Assistant, or equivalent)
• Experience with children, especially those with medical needs, preferred
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
• Knowledge of basic medical procedures and child development
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Patient, detail-oriented, and collaborative
• Willing to perform/learn required medical procedures
