Music Teacher (Preschool – 8th Grade) – St. Joseph School, Crescent Springs

St. Joseph School is seeking a passionate and engaging Music Teacher to inspire students in Preschool through 8th Grade. The ideal candidate will foster a love of music through vocal and instrumental instruction, classroom performances, liturgical music, and creative learning experiences in a faith-filled school environment. This role is 80% FTE (four days per week). 

Responsibilities include:

  • Teach general music classes for Preschool–8th Grade students
  • Collaborate with faculty and parish staff to support school activities and liturgies
  • Create an engaging, positive, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
  • Encourage student creativity, participation, and appreciation for music

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field
  • Teaching certification preferred
  • Experience working with children in elementary or middle school settings preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Supportive of the Catholic mission and values of the school

After Care Worker – St. Joseph School, Crescent Springs

Reports To: After Care Directors
Location: St. Joseph School, Crescent Springs
Employment Type: Part-Time, Monday -Friday, 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm

Job Summary:

The After Care Worker is responsible for supervising students during the after-school program, both in the designated indoor spaces and on the playground. This position ensures the safety and well-being of all students, assists with snack distribution, provides homework support, and helps with check-in and dismissal procedures in accordance with after care policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and actively engage with students in the after care room and on the playground.

  • Ensure the safety and security of all students at all times.

  • Assist with the distribution and clean-up of snacks.

  • Support students with homework and encourage positive study habits.

  • Monitor student behavior and implement appropriate discipline strategies when necessary, in alignment with school and after care guidelines.

  • Assist with student check-in and dismissal as needed, ensuring that students are released only to authorized individuals.

  • Maintain accurate attendance and documentation as required.

  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.

  • Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

  • Help set up, organize, and clean program areas before and after activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the After Care Directors.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in education or child development welcome.

  • Experience working with children in a school or recreational setting is highly desirable.

  • Ability to manage groups of children with a calm and confident demeanor.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Basic understanding of child safety and emergency procedures.

  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and to work both indoors and outdoors.

  • Ability to lift small loads (less than 25 pounds)
