The Catholic Telegraph, the official publication of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati, seeks a talented, creative and organized intern for the summer of 2026 (10-12 weeks in total). Junior High Math Teacher (Full-time or Part-time) – St. Lawrence School

Clinical Director – Catholic Charities

The Clinical Director provides strategic leadership, administrative oversight, and clinical supervision for Catholic Charities’ counseling programs. This role ensures high-quality, evidence‑based, trauma‑informed mental health services while supervising licensed clinicians and supporting continuous program improvement. The Clinical Director also provides direct outpatient counseling services.

The ideal candidate is mission-driven, clinically experienced, organized, and comfortable working in a Catholic nonprofit environment that serves individuals and families from all backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership & Program Oversight
  • Provide strategic direction and leadership for the mental health counseling programs.
  • Lead integration and continuous improvement of Individual, Family, and Outpatient Counseling Services.
  • Oversee development of staff training, skill-building, and accountability systems.
  • Serve as a core member of the agency Management Team.
  • Ensure program compliance with internal quality benchmarks and external accountability requirements.
  • Manage outpatient program budgets responsibly.
  1. Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Supervise the Quality Assurance Coordinator/Contract Specialist and oversee the QA program.
  • Ensure adherence to evidence‑based practices, documentation standards, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor treatment outcomes, program performance metrics, and quality indicators.
  • Support reaccreditation processes (e.g., COA, United Way, state requirements).
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality laws, and professional ethics.
  1. Clinical Supervision
  • Provide regular clinical supervision to independently licensed clinicians.
  • Review cases, service plans, and terminated case documentation.
  • Serve as LCSW Supervisor (if applicable), providing weekly/required supervision hours to Certified Social Workers per state board standards.
  • Promote a collaborative, ethical, and supportive clinical team culture.
  1. Staff Management & Development
  • Oversee clinical staff goal-setting, performance evaluations, and professional growth.
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and retention of clinical personnel.
  • Identify training needs and lead coordination of professional development initiatives.
  1. Direct Mental Health Counseling (Approx. 75%)
  • Provide outpatient clinical services including screening, assessment, therapy, referral, and follow-up.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory guidelines.
  • Demonstrate clinical competence working with diverse populations and presenting concerns.

Qualifications — Required

  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related mental health field.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent; LCSW‑Supervisor preferred.
  • 5+ years of clinical counseling experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory or program leadership experience.
  • Experience providing services to diverse populations (children, adults, families, couples, individuals with mental illness or substance-use histories).
  • Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of DSM‑5 and evidence‑based trauma‑informed practices.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
  • High integrity and discretion with confidential information.

Qualifications — Preferred

  • Supervisory certification (LCSW‑S) by the Kentucky Social Work Board.
  • Experience working in a Catholic or nonprofit service environment.
  • Experience with accreditation standards (COA, Joint Commission, etc.) and outcome reporting systems.

Director of Finance & Development

The Director of Finance & Development serves as the chief financial administrator for three Catholic parishes, and their two schools, ensuring sound fiscal management, successful development strategies, accurate financial reporting, and compliance with diocesan policies. This role supports the mission of the parishes by stewarding resources responsibly and transparently. This position works collaboratively with the pastor, parish leadership, staff, and volunteers to maintain financial stability and accountability across all three parishes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Advisory & Strategic Support

  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance parish and school revenue, including tuition, stewardship campaigns, and grant opportunities
  • Develop and oversee initiatives across parishes and schools, focusing on operational efficiency without impacting mission-driven programs
  • Serve as a financial advisor to the pastor and parish leadership
  • Support parish finance councils by preparing reports and attending meetings
  • Assist in long-term financial planning

Accounting and Financial Management

  • Monitor tuition revenue, parish offertory trends, and overall financial health
  • Oversee all parish accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and cash management
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and analyses for the pastor, finance councils, and the diocese
  • Lead the development, monitoring, and reporting on parish budgets for all three parishes
  • Conduct financial forecasting, trend analysis, and variance analysis
  • Ensure proper internal controls and safeguarding of parish assets

Development

  • Oversee development and fundraising strategies in collaboration with the Pastor, Finance Council, and Pastoral Council
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors and benefactors
  • Oversee development of communication materials related to giving
  • Track and analyze giving trends and donor engagement
  • Identify and pursue grant opportunities, where appropriate
  • Oversee maintenance of the donor database and ensure confidentiality of all donor information

Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise, train, and evaluate Finance & Advancement staff
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively and promote a collaborative, respectful work environment
  • Provide guidance and support to parish volunteers involved in financial activities

Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with diocesan financial policies, canon law requirements, and applicable civil laws
  • Complete annual audits, reviews, and diocesan financial reporting requirements
  • Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with non-profit generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • 5–10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience supervising staff
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail

Preferred

  • CPA or MBA
  • Practicing Catholic in good standing, with a commitment to the mission and values of the Catholic Church, or faith-based environments
  • Experience in non-profit organizations
  • Familiarity with fundraising, stewardship, or development initiatives
  • Familiarity with diocesan accounting systems and parish management software

Evangelization Intern

The Archdiocese of Cincinnati is currently seeking students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate studies to complete an internship in Catholic parishes for the 2026 – 2027 school year as part of the St. Dominic Savio Internship Program. This internship program will help students to gain practical experience in parish ministry, discern a vocational call to parish ministry, and explore potential ministry career opportunities.
