Volunteer Services Manager – Catholic Charities

The Diocese of Covington’s Catholic Charities is seeking a dynamic, highly organized Volunteer Services Manager to lead our volunteer program and support more than 700 dedicated volunteers who advance our mission across a wide range of programs and services. This role is ideal for a relationship‑driven professional who excels at community engagement, communication, and building strong partnerships. You will oversee the full volunteer lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding, to training, scheduling, recognition, and retention—while cultivating a positive, mission‑centered volunteer culture. Key responsibilities include lead recruitment, screening, onboarding, and retention efforts for 700 volunteers. Other responsibilities include training, supervising, scheduling, evaluating, and other general managerial duties.  We are looking for an individual with a degree in in human services, business, or a related field, and some previous experience. Weekend Staff Coordinator – Parish Kitchen -Catholic Charities

Reports To: Parish Kitchen Manager

Position Summary

The Weekend Staff Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all Parish Kitchen operations on Saturdays and Sundays. This role ensures safe, orderly, and respectful meal service for guests; coordinates and supports volunteers; and manages kitchen and dining room operations from opening through closing.

Compensation & Work Schedule

  • Hourly Rate: $18.12
  • Workdays: Saturdays and Sundays
  • Work Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
  • Meal Service: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Work Schedule Options

52‑Week Option: One individual is scheduled to work every weekend throughout the year (approximately 52 weekends). Because this is a part‑time position, paid leave is not included. Limited unpaid coverage may be arranged for up to four weekends off, subject to operational needs.

26‑Week Option: Two individuals alternate weekends (approximately 26 weekends each). Under this structure, assigned weekends fulfil full commitment for the role, and additional weekends off are not provided.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and ensure adequate volunteer staffing for weekend operations
  • Communicate with volunteers in advance to confirm coverage
  • Supervise and support volunteers during service
  • Manage opening and closing procedures
  • Oversee meal preparation, dining room setup, service, and cleanup
  • Manage guest entry and maintain an orderly dining room flow
  • Foster a welcoming, respectful environment for guests and volunteers
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and public health guidelines
  • Perform cleaning duties: dishwashing, mopping, general cleaning, restroom cleaning, and trash removal
  • Report operational issues to the Parish Kitchen Manager
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 Qualifications

  • Ability to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers
  • Comfortable interacting with diverse populations in a service environment
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to provide calm, reassuring direction in a fast-paced setting
  • Experience in food service, volunteer coordination, ministry, or social services preferred but not required

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry items typical of kitchen operations
  • Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks

Work Environment

This position operates in a commercial kitchen and dining room setting and involves regular interaction with guests, volunteers, and staff.

Executive Director of Institutional Advancement – Notre Dame Academy

The Executive Director of Institutional Advancement is a full-time position responsible for developing a culture of philanthropy among the Notre Dame Academy community and providing strategic oversight to the Development, Alumnae, and Enrollment Departments. The position ensures alignment across all external relations to promote Notre Dame Academy’s mission, grow philanthropic support, and strengthen enrollment.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Serve as a mission-driven ambassador, representing and communicating the values, vision, and programs of Notre Dame Academy to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement a data-informed plan to build relationships with families and engage them in NDA’s mission from the first point of contact through the donor life cycle.

  • Oversee and direct the ongoing identification, screening, evaluation, and solicitation of prospective donors.
  • Provide oversight for key development events, working with the Advancement Services Manager to plan and execute key events such as Light the Night, Scholarship Breakfast, and donor recognition events.
  • Provide strategic direction to development, alumnae, and enrollment departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher – professional certifications in fundraising or development a plus
  • Minimum of five years of experience in advancement and fundraising. Education experience preferred.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and budgets.
  • Availability to travel and participate in evening/weekend events.
  • A genuine passion for the school’s mission and a strong belief in the value of education.
